Batteries Not Included...

Almost everything in our lives requires a battery of some sort or some way of recharging a battery.  Our Iphones, laptops and many other necessary items that we rely on all need to be recharged when they run out of juice. When we as people run out of juice, what do we do to recharge?

Recharging your batteries is defined as when you take a break from activities which are tiring or difficult in order to relax and feel better when you return to these activities. How do you recharge? So many times we get caught up in our jobs, in competition and even in our daily grind of life that we forget to take time for ourselves to regroup and recharge. Unfortunately, we don't come with  batteries to recharge us or come with an instruction booklet that explains how we operate.

The good Lord made each of us unique. We have all been blessed with certain gifts and talents. As we discover these unique gifts, we must always remember that we get run down and need to take a break from the daily grind of life. I believe it is equally important to find those activities that help us recharge. Whether it's going for a jog, listening to music, the beach, the lake or whatever activity that allows you to relax; it is imperative for our well-being for us to recharge our batteries so that we can give our best not only in our jobs, but with our families.

Have you recharger your batteries lately? Do you find yourself in a bad mood or getting aggravated easily? Maybe it's time to you find some time to recharge your batteries! A daily dose of devotion always helps me recharge each morning and get my day started off right. So make some time for you and get recharged!!

Are you on F.I.R.E. for God?

I was blessed to speak at the kickoff breakfast for FCA in Franklin Co. Just wanted to share a few thoughts:

F. irst - Do you put God first in your life? What are your priorities? Is it winning? Is it success? Be careful not to let the every demands and distractions of life interfere with your relationship with Him. Make Him a priority. Be Second!

I. nspire - We are all called to be role models in some way. Whether we teach, coach, run a business, a co-worker or a friend; we are needed in some capacity to make a difference in this world.
5 ways to Inspire: 1. Do things people wouldn't normally do
                             2. Listen and Act
                             3. Be Accepting
                             4. Take Risks
                             5. Make sacrifices

R. elentless - Be relentless in spreading His word and listening to what He is calling us to do.

E. nthusiasm - If there is something that catches people attention it's enthusiasm. Be enthusiastic so that others may see something different in you. Be uncommon! Stand out so that others can see what you have with God is far better than what they have without Him.

Get on Fire Today!!!

Matthew 5:16 Let your light shine before others,  that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father on Heaven.
